Information
What support can I find with CareNow?
CareNow primarily provides support workers/carers that work to support the participant to achieve tasks and goals that they require additional support with. CareNow also provides sport coaches and drama teachers through our different programs HoopNow and ShineNow.
How do I choose a support worker?
During a consultation, the hobbies, interests, passions and requirements of your child will be discussed and noted. From there, you will be put in contact with a number of well-suited carers. You can then select the team member that best fits their needs and interests.
What training will be provided to my support workers?
In order to be employed, along with the experience and skills required, team members will be required to complete a training module provided by NDIS. Moreover, CareNow provides our own extensive training program, which team members must complete before their first shift. Furthermore, CareNow runs regular training workshops for our team, bringing up new concepts and discussion regarding the development and inclusion of the disability community, as well as running through refreshers on first aid, sexual abuse protocol, and company ethos.
How am I protected?
Upon employment, all team members must provide a current National Police Check and a Working With Children’s Check Moreover, referee and former employer details are provided by the employees and we screen all members before they join. To ensure the ongoing safety of the community, regular training is undertaken and safety protocols are constantly updated. Around the clock support is provided via phone, email or in-person consultations. All CareNow employees are covered by our comprehensive insurance policies.
